application process
- Email us directly for the complete application package. (below)
- Proposals will be accepted until February 28, 2026 before 6 pm PST.
- All submissions will then be reviewed by a jury. The jury will evaluate proposals based on the design concept, community relevance, feasibility, and the artist’s experience.
- Maximum of five shortlisted artists will be selected by March 15, 2026 and each will receive $500 and enter into a contract with Lions Bay Arts to refine and finalize their proposals after receiving feedback from the selection committee.
- Final designs will be accepted until April 15, 2026 before 6 pm PST.
- A final decision of selected artist will be made by April 30, 2026 and the selected artist will be notified by email. Artists not selected with also be notified by email.
- The final selected artist will receive $ 5,000 in compensation for the selected design and will enter into a final contract with Lions Bay Arts.
- A plaque will be mounted on the building recognizing the contribution of the artist along with names of the donors and Lions Bay Arts.
