About Us

Who We Are

Lions Bay Arts (Lions Bay Arts Council Society) was formed out of the belief that the culture of our community is enhanced by our resident artists, their endeavours and our enjoyment and support of them.

After 14 years since the inception of the Lions Bay Arts Council, we have showcased and integrated arts and culture into the fabric of our Village community.

We welcome community members and artists of every medium, age group, and level of experience.

Be A Volunteer

The effort and enthusiasm of our volunteers is a big part of the success of arts organizations across our country.

As a small west-coast-arts-org.,  we just simply couldn’t do-what-we-do without our army of devoted volunteers.

If this is you, reach out and say, Hello.

Hello

Sea to Sky Arts Council Alliance

Working together with a shared interest in promoting Arts & Culture in the Sea to Sky corridor, Lions Bay Arts is part of the Sea to Sky Arts Council Alliance which includes Bowen Island, Squamish, Whistler and Pemberton Arts Councils.

This alliance was formed to promote arts and culture along the Sea to Sky Corridor by collaborating to promote artists and events.  In 2016, we had a travelling art show,

“Our Sea to Sky” which began on Bowen Island, moved to Whistler and then to Squamish.  Fifty Sea to Sky corridor artists entered the juried show which

welcomed over 600 visitors in all three locations.

We continue to evolve in our ability to share resources, promote events, and create collaborative projects. Click on each respective Arts Council below for current events and more information.

Our membership in this alliance is particularly important to Lions Bay as we are a small community now able to access the larger arts and culture environment of the Sea to Sky Corridor.  This is also a great benefit to our local artists who have the opportunity for a larger market for their work and greater recognition.

Sea to Sky Arts Council Alliance

Bowen Island

The Bowen Island Arts Council was formed over 30 years ago by a dedicated group of residents who wanted to create a space for artists to express themselves, and for the Bowen community to directly engage with arts on the island.

Lions Bay

The Lions Bay Arts Council was formed 14 years ago and has championed arts, culture and community development in our seaside Village ever since.

From Art in the Garden, to its Annual Christmas Fair, and Lions Bay Calendar showcasing resident local photography, Lions Bay Arts has become a staple in the Community.

Squamish

Squamish Arts aims to generate awareness of & improve access to arts & culture in Squamish while supporting local artists.

Through seeking funding resources, strengthening communication, and supporting local art initiatives we hope to serve the Squamish community as an advocate for the vision of a vibrant arts & culture scene in Squamish.

Pemberton

To foster a vibrant arts scene by elevating Pemberton artists and increasing community participation in the arts in the Pemberton Valley.
Our differences make us who we are, and we celebrate that!

Whistler

Whistler

Arts Whistler is the lead agency for arts and culture in Whistler and strives to make creativity a part of everyone’s Whistler experience. We program, promote and advocate for the arts and local artists, while providing residents and visitors with access to bold, inspiring, and engaging experiences in the arts.
