Lions Bay Arts partners with Lamondance to showcase contemporary dance.
Lions Bay Arts in tandem with North Vancouver's own Lamondance Arts Society bring two contemporary dance performances to Lions Bay.
Lamondance is a professional contemporary dance training program and performing company based in North Vancouver. Known for providing emerging dancers with intensive training and high-level performance opportunities. the Program functions as a vital pathway to professional careers with a focus on artistic excellence, creative risk-taking, and community engagement.
Led by Artistic Director Davi Rodrigues, it offers comprehensive training in technique (classical, contemporary, injury prevention) and presents bold- innovative choreography to its audiences. Often on tour internationally, Lamondance fosters a diverse, inclusive environment for young artists to excel within.

Davi Rodrigues is a Brazilian-born Canadian citizen and the Artistic Director and Resident Choreographer of Lamondance.
With over 30 years of experience as an educator, choreographer, and producer, Davi is renowned for his high-energy, immersive, and audacious dance style. He brings a unique approach, daring hard work, and a sense of optimism to all his projects.

Margarida Macieira is a Portuguese freelance dance artist, Gaga teacher, educator, and event producer. Residing in Vancouver, Canada, Margarida has cultivated a diverse career spanning multiple cities, including London (UK), Tel Aviv (Israel), Lisbon (Portugal), and Vancouver (Canada).
Margarida's artistic journey began at the Academia de Dança Contemporânea de Setúbal in Portugal, where she honed her skills in ballet, Graham technique and choreography.
